We took a road trip up the coast of Maine to Bar Harbour. The start of our journey was to the original Sebago shoe factory which is now a block of trendy flats. Roger one of the original hand stitchers helped us by introducing us to a local museum that had all the tools from the original shoe factory. Here they let us use the tools to build a set where we were able to recreate some of the historic imagery of hand stitched shoes.
